I roll the frisbee on the ground like a ball away from the dog. I never have the frisbee come towards the dog until I know he is not afraid of it. You can also put some yummie treats in a frisbee to get them to like it. Don't leave the frisbee out with the dog as it is not safe and the dog could eat the frisbee and this is dangerous.
