  • I love this song! It makes me sad and a mixing of sadness/happyness. Proud of my people! Tony Lima with his strong voice makes this song real.

  • @cristao It's called "Labanta Braço". It's also about Amílcar Cabral, although it's not the version I'm familiar with, by Os Tubarões. I'd like to have this version too...

  • what is the sound in this

  • Very good song to hear , cabral was very carismatic and his existence was critical for the liberation of those 5 places in africa .

  • The first song 0.00 -- 0.05 is an other song... can someone tell me what the name of the song is.

  • Amilcar Cabral died in 1973 in Guinea (Conacri), were he was born too. He dint armed a army against the Portuguese! My grandfather was Portuguese(white) and fought next to Cabral, he escaped from the army in CV, was discovered a shot. Cabral said: "We are not fighting against the Portuguese people, its against the Portuguese Estate". A big part of my family was in Luís de Almeida Cabrals(half brother of Amilcar and 1st president of free Guinea) funeral. Both rest in peace.

  • they explain how he went to Angola and say the indepence movement there and got motivated to start one in cabo verde and guinnee and how he started an armed army against the portugese and a political party and how the colonialists send people to kill him in 1975. He says we cry for Amlicar Cabral but now we are free Guinnee-Cabo Verde we are finally free now. (he keeps repeating: Amilcar Cabral you died too young, you died too young.) It's an morna which means it's kind of a lament.

  • Part 2; We cry for you Amilcar Cabral but we are free now guinnee-cabo verde we are free now

  • what is the song about....i only know english...help! lol

  • plz someone translate to english...or just tell me whats said
