Some footage I took of a fast moving severe thunderstorm. Moving at nearly 40 mph in a south-easterly direction, it kicked up gusts of almost 70 mph, dropped almost 1.5" of rain in twenty minutes, and had reports of circulation inside the central updraft, but was short-lived by a cold gust front outgoing from the storm.
I stand on the front porch of my parents' house. I was going to go out storm chasing, but I was on a bad side of the storm (a good side would have been the west side, but I was on the south-east side) so filming would have been impossible. I am later joined in watching the storm by my 17-year-old brother and later my mother and my father. The latter two start talking about how I picked up the wrong profession at college, hence my talk about "getting accepted" at the University of Tulsa.
Damn Jared that's one heck of a storm.
By the way I hope your summer's going good...aside from the storm of course. =D
