The California based company Anybots demonstrated its telepresence QA robot during CES 2009. The QA robot weights 30 pounds (14 kg), has a height of 5 feet (152 cm) standing and 2 feet (61 cm) bending and will be used for telepresence, allowing a user to control the robot from across the globe using the internet while still seeing and being seen, talk and listen, and collaborate in ways and places never before possible.

@gukonni Well on the positive note, the robots can be mobile like facilitate outside of the conference rooms and manage inventory. Its worth having a convenient telepresence instead of flying into another country to manage

Exactly. Google "Musion Eyeliner 3D Holographic Projection". I think this technology is cool, but I don't see where the savings are. Looks like a cheap fad to me. You don't have to do things physically these days. You can do most things via the internet or via telepresence. What's the point of sending a robot there when you can do it more cheaply?
