No No its not the wine and food festival I am complaining about it's the nonsensical waste of time and money the You tube "TV channel" the local authority spend Ctax on. Nothing would make me criticize anything that brings people to our town its just I see precious little money being spent where it should and lots of cash being thrown away on things it shouldnt such as foreign trips for councillors to twin towns. I say take a leaf out of the leader of Doncasters book

Hi Chris - thanks for your comments. The cost of this channel is nil and all of the videos on it were paid for by external funding - not Council Tax payers' money. We set the channel up to communicate with users of the Hastings Skate Park as part of a consultation exercise and it proved to be a very effective way of reaching this audience (without spending any money!). Its really nice to see stuff to do with the seafood and wine festival. Its soo good.

As a resident of Hastings I am pleased that the Hastings Council puts on this event. I know 45k people came to the town - everyone one has a great time sampling the food and listening to some fantastic music. And everyone gains in the town - the accommodation is full - the restaurants and cafes are all busy - attractions do well - you should try and come next year, September 18-19 2010
