thats sounds like aride for babys.

Just a cheesy Halloween costume, and he rode a wooden stick horse at the end (it was done, obviously, more for goofy comedy). The hayride is mostly just driving through inflatables and listening to a storyteller -- it's a low-scare/no-scare attraction.

what did the Headles Horseman look like?

The Halloween Hayride in 2006 (not 2007, I was mistaken) was based around the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and had a storyteller on the hayride who would tell the story between stops. The hayride would pick up folks near the lodge, then drop them off at the various haunted houses, haunted walk, etc. There was an express hayride that went back and forth, then the longer "story" hay ride that went to the stops, then went up through the woods and hills where they saw the "headless horseman".

Sshow up early, or call ahead for tickets. The ticket line can be 30-60 minutes long on busy nights, and they will stop selling tickets when the park reaches capacity. The first two weekends will be slower (and Halloween weekend will be frantic).

Yes, seems Slipknot shows up in alot of haunts in the area -- I guess because the band is from Des Moines? There was a whole "Slipknot" haunt one year -- or at least, one with tons of those masks and Slipknot music playing.
