  • Man, it´s as loud as as conventional one.

  • @blablupp77 This was posted 4 years ago. It was a 'proof of concept'. Csaba is not developing an electric ppg any more, but others have and the props may well be much less noisy.

  • I like the idea of an electric PPG, but the downside is that you can't just fill it up and keep going.

  • Newer batteries will have much faster charging times. The technology is being developed. Just recently an article in 'New Scientist' magazine hinted that fast charging batteries will be commercial in the next year or two.

  • what is the motor and battery packs? neat machine

  • Search "electric ppg" Google

  • in 30 years time this video will look strange. People will ponder the primitive notions of flight..:-)

    But nonetheless, great effort..!!

  • @mandrewsvideos: Now develop the sail & pilot's uniform to have flexible solar-cells + combine with a small prototype 'bloom-box' and you have constant power being supplied to the batteries. ;)

  • what progress has been made with this and the cost of the batteries?

  • azért a cigi befigyel :)

  • @mandrewsvideos already it would be possible to build a battery system that would charge up in 30 mins or so. The problem at the moment is cost.

If you had the budget you could own 2 or 3 battery packs, have 1 or 2 charging whilst you flew the other, and stay up flying all day.

If you had a battery pack that would charge up in the same kind of time you could fill a fuel tank you would need a good connection to the national grid or a really powerful generator to get it charged that quickly.

  • i would love to know how long that battery last during the flight.

i have been thinking to make one for my hang glider

i need information regarding the motor and battary and other parts that you got for it

i really thak you very much for your great work

thats the dream of every pilot
