This giant PK is next to a juvenile normal-sized copper HM. The HM is 3 months old so not yet fully grown, but the size difference is remarkable even if you take that into account.
I bought this guy to incorporate into CallaLilli's HMPK Red Dragon line. Imagine giant red dragon HMPK! His finnage is quite ordinary (to put it kindly) but I was just pleased to find a giant PK that was a colour I could reasonably well predict the genetic make-up of (cambodian being recessive I know he will only contribute cambodian genetics to a spawn).
Calla and I are planning to cross him with our large red dragon female Dragonfly (or one of her offspring, who are presently 3 months old so have a bit of growing to do to make spawning with the giant feasible). This should result in half giant half dragons. I expect around 50% to be short fin and 50% long fin.
An F1 cross should produce 25% full dragons and 25% full giants (so presumably, around 12.5% full giant full dragons). Whether they will be HMPKs remains to be seen - but you have to start somewhere :)
