  • Is this supposed to be Kukishin Ryu?

  • No not necessarily, some is and some not (like most in Bujinkan!). My recommendation is not to worry about schools, this is my way of doing some basic drills with ideas from Kukishin-ryu and Gyokko-ryu.

  • I see. It looks pretty cool, but totally different from what I am used to seeing. The distance, timing and targeting are completely foreign to me; the use of the bo in simple strikes is also very different. Thanks for the reply! :)

  • Well the Japanese Bojutsu is different from Okinawa (karate) styles.

  • really good stuff!

  • this very good video. u have good skill. keep going in ur training. congradulations

  • Perhaps it is only me, but I noticed, that at about 0:34, the timing of the tori, seems to just a little off, when he executes the taisabaki, to the right of the attack.

  • Better than advanced technics, only THE basic technics!

    Very nice vid!

  • Great Taijutsu Level. Thanks for post the video.

    Congratulations!!

  • Awesome and helpful video. Just the song or the thriller lagh is irritating and not fitting of the subject.

  • Thanks this is a really useful video. The music is a little off putting, but I understand that you just wanted to find something free to use, and there's always the mute button!

    Thanks again for posting.

  • So, is this closer to Ryukyu Kobudo then? If so, that does make more sense. It's a lot different from the koryu bujutsu I'm used to seeing here in Japan (Goto

ha Yagyu Shingan ryu, Kukishin Ryu (Takagi ryu branch), Kukishinden Tenshin Hyoho, Takenouchi Ryu (Bichuden), Tenshinsho Katori Shinto Ryu, Muhi Muteki ryu, etc.).
