This isn't actually a fake video. The creator of this just had to write a custom perl script to get the touchscreen to work, that is why it looks weird since he is touching the screen in places that don't make sense for the operation. However, he is using the touchscreen. I stumbled upon this guy's webpage and he explains this.

it is obviously not touch screen they are just using the remote while touching the screen to trick you...

Front Row doesn't support selection by touchscreen, as they selections cannot be made by USB mouse-clicks, which is what a touchscreen emulates.
