  • It is easy to see why people get mad at these foam videos. It would not be hard for JUST ONE of these foam guys to provide a Manual J, or any kind of load calculation. Instead of providing simple proof, they wow people with a video of unrealistic demonstrations, bloated numbers, and at times just lieing. The few of us that can do a Manual J are outnumbered by people looking to get rich off of snake oil. The most depressing part is, many of these insulaters leave the house too tight, unhealthy.

  • You don't have to say "made a big difference". In the energy field, you say it more like our overall manual j calculation has dropped to x amount of btu's annually due to the foam holding in, or keeping out x amount of btu's. Nobody doing foam can do a manual j calc, if they did they would find out it is the worst insulation value available, other than super "green" stuff like blue jean insulation. You could be down to 200/month with an insulation that costs less to install.

  • i don,t know about 40% with this or with that but in my personal experience. insulating my home attic with a foam called sealection 500 really made a big difference on my energy usage. i was paying 570 dlls a month and came down to 280.00 just by doing the attic, imagine the whole house. let,s see the positive aspect of each product and control negative coments. let,s make youtube a learning forum not a battle field

  • Solar shade salesman say 40% of energy loss can be through heat gain from UV light. You say 40% through infiltration. Radiant barrier salesman say 40% from radiation. Attic vent salesman say 15% for underventilated attics. Programmable thermostat salesman say 10%......If all of you con artists were actually telling the truth, than these houses would miraculously be spinning the meter in reverse without touching the most important part of heating and cooling.....the hvac.....crazy salesman...

  • The IRC has now limited the size in which you can build cathedral ceilings to either 20% of the entire ceiling area or 500 sq. ft., whichever is less. HAHAHAHA FOAM IS FCKED!!!............HAHAHA FINALLY!!!
