One of the most crooked moves ever done in the history of American politics. The Democrats in Massachusetts changed the law 5 years ago during Mitt Romney's term so that he, a Republican, couldn't appoint an interim Republican senator. Once they had a Democratic governor in place, they changed the law back to make sure they have another lib vote now in DC. The law-flipflops were totally political, a perversion of the state's constitution, and one of the most shameless acts in US history.
