I dont know why but i think Indians are probably the smartest race on earth. Being a white, I have always felt that, unlike chinese or europeans, Indians have it all - Intellect, Charisma and Courtesy.

@mighty08er Well, these kids are about academics, some kids are just not interested in following fashion or fads. My cousin was always teased in school by the so-called cool looking kids because she dressed like these kids. Now my cousin is one of the few African American professors of law, she has her own law firm, she collects Mercedes sport cars and always laughs at the kids that made fun of her when she was in school:) Education takes you farther than trying to look cool.

@SuperMettalicafan, ANYBODY can win a spelling bee, this girl obviously just studied a lot more than the others. It could be racist to other races to say one race is better than the other(s), and your statement is ABSOLUTELY not true. I know many, many Indians who are selfish, rude, ignorant, and stupid.

Laodicean was so easy that a fifth grader like me could spell it. I kind of feel bad for the other kid that actually had a challenging word.

Indians aren't the smartest race. There is no smartest race, that is incredibly ridiculous. However, the reason you hear so much about smart Indians is because the Indians who are able to escape their country and lives of poverty, are incredibly intelligent or talented. They realize that they're given opportunities and don't take anything for granted, so they work hard. This girl's parents probably pushed her hard to get where she is. It's admirable, but they're not the 'smartest race on earth'.
