that'd be a trait of your beloved capitalist economy..capitalizing off other's stupidity, addiction, or need..exploit=profit..I find it interesting the angle that Alex takes..does he support marxism?? through socratic questioning i'd love to get in his head. i am interested in this discussion and still after 3 years of reading about this i still am not sure that there is a feesable solution. societal structure as it is is inevitable..tear it down it will rebuild..

The lottery would give ordinary people the ability to lobby, open chain stores, start truly helpful charities, run for president. Can you imagine the generous people that would recieve around 260 million dollars from our 1 dollar a day lottery. But.. like you said if the government was willing to part with each of our $365/year then there wouldn't be the corruption that's causing most of our problems now.

@SgtCrom Well, if they would lower taxes I would agree to this...

I'd pay $1 per day to a national lottery. Every day 1 person in America would become a multi-millionaire. After 1 year that would be $365 I spent to make 365 people terribly rich. That money would recirculate like mad from a fool and a smart person would buy a home a luxury car and start small businesses or invest in other areas. I think this simple investment by the average citizen would ensure growth and opportunities for all.
