I'm ready for all the usual talking points! So bring it!

Every year I see an uptick in my views on some of these videos. One in particular is the debate over Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. It's usually chanted by radical conservatives on YouTube or people like Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Bill Cunningham and the co-founder of the National Black Republican Association Frances Rice.

And yes before you slide on the slope, I am aware of Republican congressman Tim Scott, Republican congressman Allen West, Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Jesse Lee Peterson, Alveda King, Frances Rice, J.C. Watts, Jr., Juan Williams, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, Herman Cain and Ken Blackwell.

For those who still don't get it, please the Southern Christian Leadership Conference to find information on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

What inspired me to make another video! I sourced off the internet for this video.

Why I made a video denouncing Republicans lame attempt to court Black voters with this "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Was A Republican" campaign?

Conservatives continue push misinformation about what they see is wrong in the Black community! They easily assume that Blacks vote for Democrats over Republicans! They make outrageous claims that "ALL BLACKS WHO SUPPORT DEMOCRATS" are dependent on welfare, social programs and are in favor of abortions.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was nonpartisan?

I say yes! He was featured in pictures with Presidents Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, and Lyndon B. Johnson. King was critical of Johnson's plans to invade Vietnam. King was critical of Berry Goldwater, the father of the modern conservative movement. The conservative movement that created Goldwater helped promote Ronald Reagan to presidency, Rush Limbaugh to king of talk radio, and Glenn Beck to best selling writer and talk show host.

Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Matt Drudge, Bill Cunningham, Andrew Breitbart and Michelle Malkin are prime examples of the divisive culture in which Blacks are deemed targets of conservative outrage over some perceived infraction on the way of life.

Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King were considered liberal (if not Communist) for their views on civil rights, human rights, stance against the Vietnam War and concerns for poverty.

New York Congressman Emanuel Celler, a Democrat drafted the Civil Rights Act of 1964 bill. When it went through Congress on bipartisan support, Southern conservative Democrats abandon ship on the party and became Republicans. Conservatives who complained about the state's rights were invested in support of Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan by wide margins. It's said that the more Blacks and Hispanics that join the Democratic Party, the more Whites abandon the party to become Republicans.

The Democratic Party was in control of Congress during the 1960s at least during the Civil Rights debate. The 88th and 89th United States Congress was controlled by Democratic Party.

J. Edgar Hoover's attempts to bring down Dr. King were known. King's critics labeled him a "communist" and "socialist"! It's kind of like today's modern conservatives are attacking President Obama by labeling him as such!

The usual talking point is that the late West Virgina Senator Robert Byrd was once a Ku Klux Klan member! Yes, I am aware of his past. The senator denouncing his past and endorsing then-senator Barack Obama for president. He championed for health care reform, rights for GLBT and hired Blacks to his staff.

Republicans that non-whites (Black, Hispanic, Arab, Asian, and Native Americans) have very little support for the party today! In the 2006 Midterm Elections, the GOP won 51% of white votes, 37% of Asian votes, and 30% of Hispanic votes, while winning only 10% of Black votes.

The Democratic Party nominated Barack Obama as their candidate for President of The United States. The first ever nominate and elected Black person. Barack Obama is the first Black president. And no it's not John Hanson, the President of the Continental Congress.

Anyone who harbors conservative views, whether they are Democrat, Republican or Independent are single issue voters who have a bigoted view of Blacks, Hispanics, Arab Americans, Native Americans, women and GLBT.

I am not a race-baiter or a Democrat. I am an independent voter who is socially liberal, fiscally conservative. Pretty much a moderate. I don't follow groups and you are not my brother. I have a sister.

Thank you very much.

  • Tru or false-

In Dr. King's time...didn't conservatives call him a "socialist" and "radical" like they do most everyone on the left? The right HATED King back in the day.

Remember the John Birch Society? They were the biggest conservatives of their time...they called the Civil Rights movement a "communist plot" . So to conservatives, there's no other explanation why blacks acted the way they did during Civil Rights...it must have been "commies" cause they were really happy with things then?

  • @hipstermi Conservatives would never want to believe what you've said because they are so wrapped around the American flag in preparedness of another culture war. You might hear the nonsense of them whining about Blacks being slaves to government entitlements, abortions, dependency on food stamps, welfare and the race card!

But that's how they can end up getting shellacked in the 2012 U.S. Elections. With hope and justice, I really hope the independents swing back in the D section.

  • @LILVOKA You said, "I support myself!" and that is exactly what I was writing about. You support yourself. Just like a spoiled, selfish child who wants to open everybody elses' gifts on Christmas morning. What is yours is yours and what is theirs is yours too, huh? In fact, that is what you call equality, isn't it? When everything belongs to you, and to those who are most like you--then everything is equal, right? • @SupaNami Nope. I am going to make sure the Democrats win back control of the House and have a stronger majority in the Senate. I want progress. Not the regressive bullshit you and the hundreds of arm chair assholes push here on YouTube. Good luck on what the fuck you do for a living. Cause President Obama going to make your life a little better when he gets reelected again! So suck on that one idiot.

  • @LILVOKA you don't have to explain anything .. everyone knows where you stand .. and standing in something that you think is right is a good call thats America ... but you're on a losing side ... America "tax payers" can't support everything .. so you go ahead and help Obama ... when he takes ya freedom away, for his spending ..spending ...the GOP want the spending to stop and it did in 2010 .. the Dem's are going to lose more seats in 2012 .. we are tired of the Dem lies and Bullshit

  • @SupaNami No I am not explaining anything. You can't bait me into a trivial debate. Comments like this are reasons for the swing! I'm ending this nonsense right now! You're ignorance is giving me a headache. For this reason, I am likely going to help Barack Obama landslide the GOP nominee and return the Congress back to the Democrats. You're not focused on the economy. You're focused on culture war issues and trying your hardest to rewrite history off the backs of Blacks.

  • @EffieReal

You "forgot" to mention David Duke ran for PRESIDENT. That's fairly major.

You can't blame your conspiracy theory "liberal media". (even notice how the most stupid people use that one?) the guy made a lot of public statements as an office holder and ran for Prez...he was going to be in the news.

he's conservative and very religious...your guy

  • @KingFrak252 Blah, Blah, Blah! Whatever. You're fixated on some of the most stupidest hypothetical! I gave you too much time. Prepare for a not so nice comment in your message inbox.

  • @KingFrak252 I support myself! I don't need your lectures of what is unequal and what's not! You're not serious! The inequalities between rich and poor makes the economy a problem. When will you pull your head out your ass and actually understand the purpose of Civil Rights? I am not concerned about the sports industry. The NFL and NBA are private companies under regulations of United States Senate. Stop wasting my time, sir. I don't need the hypothetical bullshit from you today!

  • @LILVOKA Why not correct the inequalities between people who are left handed and people who are right handed? The very concept is a fraud. Humans are unequal. why not crusade against the inequalities in the NBA or NFL? Blacks are highly over represented. Those most be reformed to reflect what America looks like. You don't do that, and never would, because your support of MLK and "civil rights,' is exclusively self serving; therefore, illegitimate.
