  • Why is everyone having a bitch at this video. This is a real recording of a PPL pilot in Fort Dodge. This youtuber has simply made a Flight Sim Video to show you what the pilot would have been going through. Go do some research on it, stick the tail number in good if need be, but making comments such as you little gay prick etc is pathetic! Grow up and f off! Bunch of arseholes, great Video! Kind Regards, JAA & FAA Commercial Pilot

  • I don't understand how he can panic like that. Although not trained to fly in complete IFR, you have at least 3 hours of hood time, with unusual attitude recovery training as part of your PPL training.

  • I'LL bet it's not simulated when this guy fondles his friends ballsack!

  • @dingoklectos just look at the piper cub or p-40 n series i think it is

  • This sounds fake.......big time

  • He thought he was going to die, that's why he's panicking. In a longer video of this around 5 minutes long he screams out "help help help" repeatedly.

The controller saved his life, and that being said many PPL's who enter IMC crash and die within an average 178 seconds. This pilot was lucky he had such a good controller on that day, and although the video was a sim I can assure you the audio and relative transcript are real. They use this audio now as a training tool.

  • He shouldn't have been anywhere near IFR territory. You dont "accidentally" fly into clouds no way. I hope like hell he aint up there when anyone else happens to be around him. You need to either lose or have your Cert suspended.

  • Bro, that is why you don't fly into IMC when you are a VFR pilot, moron

  • Could not stay on this long enough to post a decent comment becuase there is too many "professional pilots " giving their wisdom and vast loads of aeronautical knowledge. Im sure they all flew a f-9000 at five hundred thousand feet while cooking a seven course meal in the cockpit. what a load of SHIT,

  • @scorchlead

Awwww thanks for coming to my funeral! Over my dead body!...

You seem to reiterate the same things I have been doing for months. Do you realize I had several hours of unofficial IFR training with my friend who is a CFI? I might be better than youtube armchair pilots claiming proficiency with IFR! :) :)

  • @dingoklectos Hell, I like you. I might even go to your funeral. What I want you to do next time you practice under the hood with your safety pilot is put post-it notes over your attitude indicator, VSI, and gyro compass. You should be able to cross check between altimeter, airspeed, and your magnetic compass to determine if you're flying straight and level. Protip: Use the airspeed indicator to help you maintain altitude. Also remember the ANDS and UNOS.
