however a five minute gran stain of the ear pus would also answer the question is this a bacterial infection. this gram stain would eliminate needless pain and suffering of the patient. but this simple low cost procedure is never done because it requires five minutes of time.
I had a tube put in the right ear. later I expreienced a terrible odor from this ear .I went back to the dr. and he sucked out the inner ear, He gave me some drops and use 10 drops , twice a day , keep it dry. See you in a month. I was wondering if I need more medicine and or treatment on this ear. I'm in a well' , I play and sing , I am 681/2 . This means a lot to me, to be able to do this.
