NESBA @ Road Atlanta -- Dec 11-12, 2009

NESBA trackday at Road Atlanta -- Braselton, GA. December 11-12, 2009.

It started to rain Saturday afternoon and the weather never let off, so Sunday (12/13) was canceled. Daytime ambient temps in the low- to mid-30s.

My first time at RA. New T12, old(?) T3-4 config. I think A group was running ~1'40" pace.

Video shows a couple 2'06"s from Friday's last session (dashcam: GoProHD), and a PB of 2'03" before the rain on Saturday (asscam: Contour720). Was initially hoping to break 2' or run consistent 2'03"s before the weekend was over. You know you're way too slow when you can take off several seconds each and every run session. :v

Tires never got more than luke warm, had them actually slip & catch mid-turn a couple times in laps prior, killing my confidence. On the end of last lap, I passed the blue gsx-r 1000 inside front straight, entered T1 too hot for comfort hugging the inside, (probably overly) afraid to lean it over, dragged brakes in getting really close, but didn't hit kitty litter! Sorry for cutting you off, Dave!
