What a brilliant brilliant brilliant show the Great Dorset Steam Fair was this year, the best yet! Some fantastic weather, lovely atmosphere, super exhibits and overall a great community spirit across all the enthusiasts present at this largest event of its kind in the world.

The rally was so good that I thought I'd better bottle some of it for future preservation, hence this video, as filmed by James Dundon, shows me filling a jam jar with original Dorset Dust which is now for sale on eBay.

Note the grass, stones and air is included free, as is the jar itself. [auction now ended... sold for the grand sum of £5.51]

Yes, the dust is now on its way to a new home, and is actually going to a regular show attender who couldn't make it this year. Shame I didn't fill any more jars!

I can absolutely assure you the location shown above in the video where the dust was collected is part of the main field (just down from the big craft tent looking over towards the fair), not any of the camping fields.

it was willingly bought, sold to the highest bidder, people knew what they were buying, FUNNY is what it was, i was at that show with my shooting range and got about that much dirt and dust out of the air filter on my generator, never thought to sell it!!
