Damn right I will keep my art! if theres anything I hate, its people who claim a piece of art that they didnt do THEIRS.
if this goes through, Im removing any and all art Ive put on the internet

Thanks for the video. This is pure evil. I hope we can do something against Google's hefty lobbying/donations to stop this.
-
Yeah you can but if it gets to Google or Youtube, etc. well they could take it using the loopholes
-
This also means every artist will keep their work for themselves... meaning art it self becomes pretty rare... and expensive... and more wanted... they are going to take this back into their lil heads and think it over 10 million times more before they would be stupid enough to launch it again...
This would only fly in the USA right?
If I make something artsy fartsy here in Holland or heck; the European Union then I can ignore the laws from the USA?
So where do we go to protest this? What is the best way?

contact your represenatives and tell them what you think of this bill, and how you would vote. the more they hear their constituents the more they will understand how unpopular this bill will make them.-)

This is a US law/bill however an orphans work bill is being constructing in europe and already exsists in Canada.
I agree this bill needs to be watched and complained about until it fixes the obvious problems. However the bill is not a bad one in its core, its just too broadly stated that allows a huge potential for theft and dishonesty.
I would like to see a work be at least 25 years old before it can become orphaned.

i agree, the real problem is the required registration for protection, and the cost to the creators for this protection. and to be honest I would be happy at 10 to 15 years, after that its just a bonus.
