http://www.RenegadeHealth.com - This is the first broadcast from Argentina and I'm glad to announce that everything on the production side is running smoothly...

Internet is working, I bought a Flip Video (that downloads direct to the computer), and we're having fun while we're exploring the city of Buenos Aires.

Even better yet, I'll be giving you some Argentine themed shows this week to give you a flavor of South America.

Today's show is on a traditional drink of the Argentines as well as the middle of South America--it's called Yerba Mate--and has actually gotten quite popular in the US and other places around the world recently.

When I first was introduced to Yerba Mate 10 years ago, you couldn't find it anywhere, but now you can find it in most health food stores...

Enjoy!

  • Kevin! You had Rosamonte! Rosamonte is not organic! It is all the contrary, it is like the McDonnalds of the yerbas. You should taste the Organic Yerba Mate, like "Krauss". And you got to try it with a spoon of honey, thats a good mate! -- It is very funny the way you pronounce bombilla! hahaha, or "erba matei". -- If you come again, let me know! I will give you a good good mate.

  • Mate contains caffeine. The substance called versus mateineis actually caffeine in older studies was mislabeled.

  • I think this is not the correct way to prepare a mate. The yerba mate should occupy three quarters of the container and the amount of water should be much smaller. Greetings and hope they enjoy Buenos Aires

  • I drink mate every single day, I can't live without it!

  • You're absolutely right: the most important thing about mate is that it's a link to other people, a way of connecting and spending time with friends, classmates or family. And you can drink it alone as well. Just remember one thing..you fill the mate with water, and that's a mate, the drink. The person who drinks it drinks all the water you filled the mate with. Then you fill it again with water, therefore prepare another mate (beverage), and you give it to the next person in the round.

  • sip sip pass.

PG Tips is like crack in UK!
