2004-09 models
FRONTAL OFFSET TEST

OVERALL EVALUATION: Good
Structure/safety cage Injury measures Restraints/dummy kinematics
Head/neck Chest Leg/foot, left Leg/foot, right
Good Acceptable Good Good Good Good

Important: Frontal crash test ratings can be compared only among vehicles of similar weight.
Test details:

The Nissan Titan was introduced in the 2004 model year.

Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was well controlled. After the dummy moved forward into the airbag, it rebounded into the seat without its head coming close to any stiff structure that could cause injury.

Injury measures — Measures taken from the neck, chest, and both legs indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. A high head acceleration occurred when the dummy's head hit the steering wheel through the airbag, indicating that injuries to the head would be possible.

  • @TheAmericanAutos Fords are flat out welfare deathtraps. Simple as that.

  • Why don't they put up or shut up and put the 5.6 from the qx56 into the titan/armada. Hello 400hp and 7 speed auto. Also, it is laughable to compare a truck with ONE drivetrain option to the Ford's flagship F-150. Enjoy your $45K penis enlarger bro I bought a titan when it first came out for 12.5K after Volvo discount, dealer incentive and trade-in from a blown frontier.

  • Not bad!! :)

  • @Motorfordtoyota your a moron...

  • wall is like- "bitch i don't think so"

  • @SHREDpHoBiA Ford F150 SuperCrew 4x4 with 6.2L V8 - 11,100 lbs towing. Nissan Titan Crew Cab 4x4 with 5.6L V8 - 9,100 lbs towing. The Ford F150 SuperCrew 4x4 with the 5.0L V8 (smaller engine) manages 9,300 lbs towing (200 lbs more than the Titan). I don't think Nissan's 5.6 is strong enough. They need a bigger engine :)

  • i love toyota trucks but some nissans are very dependable!

  • @Motorfordtoyota The drug I am on is going out to car lots and looking for myself. Many parts of the Tundra will crack, wiggle, slide, fall off, rattle, and so on. The Ram is all hard inside (much like the Tundra) but most of it is adhered to the dash well and will not pop off. The third gen has a known problem with the cup holders and the master switch for the windows but that is about it. The seats are also not very thick, but the radios buttons are well padded. The Tundras door panels wiggle.

  • @GmTruckCarLove Dont know what kinda drugs you were on when you made that comment, but your wrong.

  • @Motorfordtoyota Dodge may not be that durable, but the interior is not that bad. The Tundras seems to be very flimsily inside (not frame, good frame) The dash has many parts that will pull off with no effort and the buttons feel very cheap. The Dodge has a few lose parts but other than that is solid and well played out dash. Depends on what year you are talking about. The first gen and second are bad but the third and forth gen have nice interiors.
