http://www.ferromit.com/index.html A small fractional still with a column that can be used for stripping distillation and fractional distillation with manual control of reflux ratio (still does not depends on cooling water temp and flow ), the column has a sliding cartridge loaded with a filling material - remove the cartridge and run stripping distillation or make moonshine, insert the cartridge and run fractional distillation and make purified food grade ethanol at 95%.

  • @RainierDistillers I use stainless coils of my design for packing (each coil is hand made), the still is capable of constant 95% without percentage decline from start to the end of fractional distillation, the reflux ratio controlled separately and not depends on water flow speed and temperature (wide range temp/flow) the cooler keeps water at room temperature, the ethanol coming out at room temperature.

  • what are you using for packing in the column I see your in the high 90s.What is the temperature of the alcohol coming out ? I love the fan and cooling system. How cold does the water come out of the cooling radiator?

  • @sylvanenergy Hi, thanks a lot for your interest, this is stainless so copper is different metal and may cause electro chemical reaction, like in galvanic element and contaminate the spirit, thus copper filling for copper stills, stainless filling for stainless stills, all construction must be uniform and neutral, this is my believe.

  • @BringBack500s Thanks a lot for your appreciation.

  • you sure are getting good a tig welding that 316L stainless steel my friend! what are you putting in the column? ceramic, or copper? I think you should come over for a drink :)

  • Good to have you back with another marvelous machine!

Before long the few that appreciate these excellent pieces of work will have to become the many, and start to produce fuel, sugar, food etc at the very local and sustainable level.

    Thanks again maestro!
