Landing at Fort Lauderdale, Part 1

Delta flight 1127, a Lockheed L-1011 Tristar, begins the approach to FLL over the Atlantic. We begin to descend and turn toward the west just offshore from West Palm Beach. We cross the shoreline in the area of Wilton Manors and fly due west; this is what is referred to as the "downwind leg".

"You have to sit up for landing, sir. Sorry. Even though you're ....." I could not catch the last two words. Sounds like "even though you're by the exit" - but I dont think he was in an exit row. She was talking to the man in the seat in front of me.

@koolbossjock It is a K-mart shopping center where the slide tower used to be. Now the only good water park in south florida is Rapids water park
