swat teams and police special forces squads from around the world should have their own special olympic games every 5 years to see who is most efficient.Sniper target competions,amphibious assault,hostage rescue,counter terrorist,bomb defusal,riot control,tactical assault,shootouts,drug raids etc.
Something tells me Germany and the USA would be at the top of the bunch.I dont know how good they are but Iran's special forces look pretty cool as well.Mexico sucks.

I think there is a difference between fighting insurgents in other countries and fighting them in your own.

We have been in open war with terrorism for 7 years. We have been covertly fighting them since the late 70's. With the outbreak of the Iranian hostage situation, the US speical forces got kicked inot gear and started fighting them.
The Red Brigand in Italy is one example of early US-terrorist conflict.
Also- its amazing how good you can get when you have the money to train extremely good SOF- unlike Algeria.

We have been fighting and tracking them for longer than you know my friend. You only know of 7 years. Trust me when I say, we have been involved with tracking, breaking up, and fighting terrorists for much longer than 16 years.

The Algerians have been fighting them for 16 years, the Americans only 7 years.
