Porsche Cayman. There are cars that are faster, pricier and more aggressive looking than the Porsche Cayman. But in strictly aesthetic terms few cars match the sheer desirability of the Cayman's seductive shape. Essentially a fixed-roof version of the Porsche Boxster, the Cayman transcends its roots to become something distinct from and perhaps even better than the car from which it was derived.

Before the Cayman came on the scene, the only coupe offered by Porsche was the much more expensive 911. Combining a more accessible price with enough comfort and practicality to serve as daily transportation, the Cayman also delivers all the driving excitement enthusiasts have come to expect from a Porsche.

  • The Cayman is a drivers car...you don't have to go 0-60 every red light! I will never understand why people who don't take their car to the track are sooo obsessed over a fraction of a second. I'd rather drive a good ole BMW or Porsche for sheer driveability. If you dolts want to take me on the line go ahead, silly teens. I'll be enjoying myself on the twisties like a civilized sports car should be driven..

  • I am very surprized many people have the same opinion as you do. You can never compare Lotus with BMW. You do not understand what LIGHT WEIGHT CAN DO in sports car at all. Even just 25kg of additional weight, car can show totally diferrent moves. In extreme opinion, it does not matter what sort of engine the car has as long as the car is very light. Just drive Caterham super 7. (Or Lotus Elise) The car can provide so much world BMW can never provide. It is because of the light weight.

  • Cayman or Audi TT?

  • the Porsche caveman?

  • so so want one

  • @jonsimcoe Embarassingly it took me a few weeks to figure that out lol! Had to brace my coffee when turning left, and complained about how a $60k car couldn't get cup holders right :)

  • the cup holders don't swivel if u close the lid from where they stow away.

  • too high off the ground.. the lower front looks wierd

  • @BARCACROSSESTHEALPS

maybe they live in Germany where the freeways are like racing tracks..

  • I am literally stunned that a review has highlighted the LOOKS of a cayman as the MAIN desirability. I mean, this car always appealed to me as the greatest sports car ever along side with the Ariel Atom. Not the looks. Although they aren't bad at all and Don't get me wrong I LOVE the looks but i just don't think its THAT good like an Alfa or an aston.

  • ANyone say people drive cayman or boxster are poor man porsche cuz cant afford 911 have a superior complex. The car is good looking even though 911 is faster and so on... but hey, they can get a porsche, that mean they well off. plus the boxster spyder one heck of a sex tease

  • @EnvyHK no, cayman is indeed 60~75 grand.
