AIGA CT presents Shed - Julie Lasky on the Aha Career Moment

On February 12th, members and guests of AIGA Connecticut gathered at Yale University's School of Art in New Haven, CT for the Shed event. With The Living Principles (www.thelivingprinciples.org), AIGA chapters across the country are inspiring local communities to create positive cultural change through purposeful action. In Connecticut, we have all the elements necessary to become a part of The Living Principles community: creative thinking, generosity, smarts and hands-dirty constitutions.

The event consisted of presentations by a panel of special guests and open discussion about culture, happiness, consumerism, design and the future of our planet. The event was moderated by Julie Lasky, editor of Change Observer.

Featured panelists included Eric Benson, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at the University of Illinois and Founder of Re-Nourish; Neil Brown, Associate Creative Director at Barnum Design in New York City and founder of Salt Space; and Aaris Sherin, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at St. John's University and author of SustainAble. The event was made possible by generous support from Mohawk windpower.
