Jay Bakker from Revolution giving a speech on gay marriage. The reaction of the congregation is disturbing and obviously very upsetting for him. When I first watched this it forced me to have a look at some of my own prejudices and for that I thank you,

I have gay friends that have prayed everyday to God to turn them straight. And no matter how hard they pray, God doesn't do anything. So either God doesn't exist, or he doesn't give a damn. How is being gay hurting anybody? How is it interfering with God's "master-plan"? I thought he was all powerful. It seems like you people just hate gay people because "God says so". Unlike you simpletons, I need a little bit more than a deity supposedly hating a group of people for no reason, for me to hate.

It's funny how stupid all the hate-worshipers that left comments here are. Where in the bible does it explicitly mention homosexuality? The only specific place is in Leviticus where it prescribes the death penalty. Do you people believe in killing gays and lesbians? If you don't than, you can't say you are following the bible's standard. Scientific, psychological, and logic evidence states that people are born gay. Apparently, God makes you gay, but then sends you to Hell for being gay.

the Bible tells us that sex is to perpetuate the human race. when God created Adam/Eve, He said to them, be fruitful and multiply. what does the Bible say about man/man sex, woman/woman sex? it's an abomination to the Lord. why? because the anus is for body waste to exit, the vagina is for urinating or delivering a baby and the penis is for urinating or empregnating a woman. science agrees with the Bible too. as Christians we are to love everybody, but not love the sin.
