Jay Bakker from Revolution giving a speech on gay marriage. The reaction of the congregation is disturbing and obviously very upsetting for him. When I first watched this it forced me to have a look at some of my own prejudices and for that I thank you,

Either you're being obtuse or you're a troll. I never had sex until I was 19, and I've never had sex with anyone underage. Both straight and gay people abuse kids I'm sorry to say, and it's got NOTHING to do with gay marriage. You've clearly got some issues going on here that you need to go away and resolve.

A female friend of mine was abused by her uncle. Should I go and tell straight people not to get married because of this? I think that's what your logic is saying...

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness and for the gospel sake. Not for being gay. The apostate church will accept this guy but the real Jesus will not. Until this guy repents of being gay and follows the true and holy Jesus. Only then will Jesus forgive him. Are you kidding me read the bible. He is comparing the suffering from being gay to that of a true christian. That is blasphemy. Homosexuality is sin. No ifs ands or buts about it. Repent and believe the true gospel.

Right on Jay and right on gay marriage. Its makes me sick how people spouting patriotism the loudest in this country are so often the first to protest gay marriage. We cannot be America and disallow it. I'm straight and can't for a minute imagine someone telling me I can't get married to the adult, law-abiding, tax-paying person I choose... why should it be any different for gay people??
