  • かなりええビデオですけど、「にぬき」は関西弁と言うより、京都弁と思うで。大阪人に伝わらへんかったで。

  • そうですね、京都弁とつけたほうがいいかもしれないですね。ありがとうございます。

  • @lissheim Oh, I read your question wrong. :) I think I know what you mean now. Yeah, I would also think they would teach standard. I know that some dialects may range from being like a whole other language from standard, and some others may just have minor alterations of words. Not sure about Kyoto's though. D: I'm studying alone, but I found a book on Amazon that supposedly teaches Kansai's dialect. If you were to learn in Kyoto, you may have to find a friend who can teach you the dialect.

  • @EnticingDarkness I can only assume they teach standard Japanese in Kyoto's language schools, but I don't know how strong the dialect is when you talk to the locals, I don't know how easily you would pick it up. Where are you studying?

  • @lissheim If you learn standard Japanese, all Japanese people should able to understand you. Everyone knows standard Japanese, but not everyone will be able to understand certain dialects. I myself am studying standard for now and until I'm better I want to learn Osaka-ben.

  • I'm interested in studying Japanese in either Kyoto or Tokyo, but I've heard a lot of Japanese people don't understand the Kyoto dialect. Would it be better to study in Tokyo for that reason?
