Happy (belated) Birthday to Tidus! http://www.youtube.com/user/BRThunder
BRThunder (also known as Tidus on ScoreHero) is a wonderful friend of mine who's supported me for a very long time now, first in my early Guitar Hero days and now in my Rock Band vocal/voxtar career. :D He plays older GH games on the dualshock/standard 360 controller and has some cool hands videos on his YouTube channel. Nowadays he plays vocals in RB and GH. :) He also has videos from other games including the Final Fantasy series, GTA, Warriors Orochi and more.
I woke up this morning with a scratchy throat but was determined to do this song anyway - and entirely in its original octave. Tidus has requested several songs from me in the past, but he wanted me to do this one as the encore for my ESL2 stream with MrPulsar a few months ago. Unfortunately he didn't get to watch the end of our stream and since then, I've wanted to make it up to him.
Hope you enjoy this gift, Tidus! And of course I haven't forgotten your other requests. I hope to get around to doing those eventually too. :)
Speaking of requests, this song was also requested by Showmaster162.

Lol I think it's pretty obvious she's singing the same octave as the song. Hey this should be impressive if you actually stop and think about it. Brad Delp's vocal range is somewhat comparable to a woman(or I'd just refer to her as an alto because that's the octave she's singing in). It is pretty impressive still.

tekashi = example of poor musician wannabe. Timbre difference =/= different octaves. What a jerk...

Original Octave is when the person sings exactly the same voice as the singer. An Octave Down from the original octave would be the exact same notes but sounding lower.

Nice job on singng this song, but in my opinion, Thats not the Original Octave....maybe for you it is, but not for Brad Delp, and not for me. For example 1:13 -1:15.....Nice job though.
