Second particle animation. Again, single particle emitter, single vortex forcefield. Particles have "ring" and "flare" enabled, IPO curves were used to animate particle color and size.

The video has 3 layers: the original render, original render with 1 frame delay at 20% alpha and original render with 2 frame delay at 10% alpha. These layers are then mixed together in Blender's sequence editor to produce this "soft particle trails" look.
