@retirednavyhaha yes earthquake hit one of the building there and leave a huge crack. but because of the ingredients used to build its wall, the crack seal back by its own and now the crack is about 1~2inches wide. tulou is more than just a building, the wall is harder than brick, capable to absorb water and withstand wind. built on stone ground to prevent flood. the interior is design according exactly to trigrams / ba gua and each "gua" can be seal off with fire resist door

THIS BUILDING TECHNIQUE LOOKS LIKE EARTH BUILDING IN YEMEN AND SOUTH OF MOROCCO CALLED LOUH!!still in service till today just the roof is different!!

wow. that's pretty cool. i don't think the world has seen these before. I have seen all types of houses all over the world including Asia, and Africa and Latin America but none like this
