In the US, only Tankers and some Hazardous Material loads have to stop at all RR Crossings. Standard box freight does not have to stop or even slow down.

@justgivemetheaccount Yeah, well, I drive a beer truck in Canada. Don't try a lecture.... I'm not stupid enough to take on a TRAIN! Bring on snow, whiteouts, icy roads, but not a f(c)ing TRAIN! I also do consider the "average" driver's knowledge...not much...thus, I give those jokers a LOT of room. We're professionals, thus, they don't KNOW that we make wide right turns , etc... I watch them, even more than the road!
