thanks so much, just added another tool to my toolbox

i've been wanting to do this move since seeing peter stom pulling it off, but once i get the girl spinning i chicken out haha.
This IS most definately lindy hop, the dance that steals from every other dance out there. There are no "lindy hop steps" per se, its the posture and the bounce that characterizes Lhop IMO. East coast is more of an umbrella name, depending on who you talk to. The swingout is the Lhop staple move, i'd say, but its just a move. Lhop is so much of everything.

I do like this move. It's fun, and it flows, with both partners spinning (it's always fun when the guy is able to get a spin or two in)
at anyrate, I will have to say that you're title is a misnomer, as this is just swing, either east or west, though most likely east as it's less flashy with the hips.
It's not lindy hop because you're not doing the lindy hop steps. It is, however, the triple step.
Just thought I'd let you know.

the moves were taught in an east coast swing class. however, they were taken from lindy hop and west coast. both moves are lindy hop timing.
