A Sunshine Coast Karate member success profile of John Boman, Author.

For over 20 years, John had a dream of becoming a writer. Like so many people he let his fears get in the way of his greatest passion. Life got in the way and procrastination kicked in, but all of that has changed!

After joining Sunshine Coast Karate at the start of this year, John quickly developed greater self-confidence which in turn reignited his passion and purpose. Within 2 months of getting started with his training, John made decision to get started writing, and just another 4 months later his first book a children's fantasy novel "The Spirit of the Moon" is finished and is soon to be launched as a paperback.

This book is sure to be a hit with children aged 8-15 years, especially amongst the fans of the Harry Potter series.

On one fateful night, someone has used dark magic and captured the Goddess that lives within the moon. Who has done this and for what nefarious purpose? And how is this connected to a strange little town called SOVEREIGN CREEK? Two mysterious strangers, MR AND MRS WELLINGTON, have arrived in town to find out exactly what has happened to the Moon Spirit, before a terrible fate befalls the Earth. Aiding them in their quest will be twelve year old MAXIMUS WALKER, a local young boy too curious for his own good. Will they succeed in their mission and if so, what price will be paid? This is book 1 of the Scary Sovereign Creek Saga.
