Originally recorded 2002 to help SofTutor Teachers keep their streaming video bandwidth low enough for dial up modems but the tricks you can learn here will help you make low bandwidth videos. If you can use them for dialup and you can keep your video small (real small), another advantage of small sizes is higher concurrent users. If you have a T1 line 1.5mb/sec and you have standard 500kb/sec video then 3 concurrent users will max out the T1 line. But if you have a small video (this one is 20kbs), you can have 75 concurrent users on a T1 line so even today bandwidth is important! CC-BY-SA Copyright 2002 Randy Hilgers, nvsi.com
