@BoadlieMcLeod: Lovelace was a baldfaced liar and an opportunist. Once work in the porn industry dried up she did a 180, decrying porn and what it allegedly "forced" her to do. She expected feminazis to help her but they were only out to use her the same way she claimed the porn industry used her.  Anyone seeing her movies would find it hard to believe she would do anything in those movies unwillingly. She's clearly enjoying her, and that includes the movie where she's sucking a dog's balls.

Some of her allegations were backed up by witnesses (including directors and people on set). She left the business in 1974, and was still getting offers through 1976 (two years after you say her work dried up). I don't believe everything Lovelace claims, and the born again thing seems thin, but if you think most porn actresses actually enjoy this crap is living I a fantasy land. For most it is work, a way to make money.
