i think they both came up with the idea but i forget the reason, mitsubishi used it first and now that it has died down, citroen is allowed to use it

thats because mitsubishi let citroen and peugeot borrow the chassis and body to let them customize it.

Comparison is fine, but not enough in-deth : the CRV offers much more high tech features (cruise control with distance control, glass roof...)
