  • there's a much better escape. first you only want to grab their hand with the side you are being grabbed from, that way you can still block any incoming punches. what you need to do next is turn into the side grabbing and use your free hand to control their elbow. the key difference is that you want to push their hand down instead of back; this will make it impossible for the to keep a strong grip. after that point it can be turned into a wrist throw or a sweep.

  • oh wow my dad goes to tae kwondo and i've only went one time to his lessons and fell asleep when he started practicing, without knowing he was teaching me how ot defend myself by tryign to "tickle" me (which i don't have tickles and he knows that) but sill my reflects make push his arms away and then i learned, to bad i've never gotten inton a fight to see if it was worth being annoyed by my dad every night....

  • turn a round noob than you have the full control

  • But can you do the Wasabi Style?

  • just get bald! ;)

  • too bad fights are never like this its a fucking slug fest you dont dance around it almost always ends up on the ground or ends in 5 seconds

  • I was taught to grab the wrist- then immediately drop down, which will easily break the wrist. Then, feel free to kick ,whatever, but the attacker now has one usable hand.

  • @Esialpha I'm also not an expert, especially not in MMA, but I do regularly participate as the attacker in demos of a similar technique which utilizes both pressure points and a wrist lock, meaning that when the move is executed properly moving in any direction that isn't toward the floor results in excruciating pain. I'm not sure if that's what he's going for here, his version is a little different, but just saying.

  • Best defence for hair grab = Keep your hair short.

Honestly, this is one the main reasons why men shouldn't have long hair.
