Steam Lives On - Kb Country - New Zealand National Film Unit

This is one of the shorts taken from the 50min length Steam Lives On video produced by the New Zealand National Film Unit. The video itself takes a look at the return of steam to New Zealands Main Trunk line including footage of K class and J class locomotives running the South Island and on the Raurimu Spiral.

This 10min footage dating back to 1960 (correct me if I'm wrong) follows Kb class of which only 6 were built, working the Southern Main Trunk line through the Alps.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. BTW, as far as I know, the line pictured, running from Rolleston to Greymouth, is called the Midland Line.
