Throughout the summer of 2007, Eve Mosher drew seventy miles of chalk line around the outskirts of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens-- the "ten-foot-above-sea-level" line that many experts agree represents where flooding may reach by 2080 as a result of global climate change. Justin Lange documented her HighWaterLine project to show how artwork can be used as a tool to present evidence about environmental issues and engage local constituencies in critical conversations about global warming. This piece was made with the support of Cicala FIlmworks (http://www.cicalafilmworks.com) and The Canary Project, (http://www.canary-project.org/) RT: 8 minutes
