I had read about this match 'n' number of times in my first book on cricket years back and it's terrific to actually see Aravinda again in his early days. In my opinion, he was more flamboyant and aggressive in his play before the responsibility of being a 'senior' tempered his style that was fortunately accompanied by an exponential leap in his run-making ability.

This man can take down the best attack in the world on his day. Only swing bowlers like
wasim & waqar can bring him down. You cannot undo him with pace, the way he smash brett lee for sixes prove that. He pick the bowl very early. one of the best players i have seen in my life. I must admit he is the best bates man sri lanka ever produced.

@alikhan2242 Yeah I see what you mean. No idea but they only used it twice then in 1989-90 they inverted their colours and went to the mainly blue which they still use today
