From the ones I've played, I rate them like this.

FFVII > FFX = FFXIII > Crisis Core: FFVII > FFVIII

I've played the first 5 hours of it, it has been pretty poor so far.

The battle system and customisation system is too simple and uninteresting, the characters are like over-dramatic pantomime actors and are poorly designed, the game has no emotion or atmosphere, random battles are too frequent and tedious, the world map is uninteresting and certain events are just tedious and completely random, like spending half an hour escaping from a town or fighting ghosts on a train.

Christ. Could this possibly get any cheesier than this? Leona fucking Lewis singing mushy love songs while everybody's flying about in the air trying to look cool? Final Fantasy has dropped a LONG way from it's SNES / PS1 heyday. Does anyone actually play this OTT crap anymore?
