Probably a couple of teenagers in what's known as their "running around" years. They get the choice to experience "English" life before they either settle down and join the church or choose to live English and be excommunicated.

@Flashygrrl not teenagers at all, was an older gentleman, probably in his 40's, his wife was driving the buggy. Since he was dressed in blacks they were probably on their way to church. They were blue for the "everyday" clothes.

Oh those goofy Amish! I live in Geauga county with Amish neighbors. I've never seen this...but it wouldn't surprise me one bit. The kids here have cell phones and iPods...yeah, really. Pretty normal kids.

@lindaspins We live in an area of old order Amish. I haven't seen any of the kids have any technology. The closest thing was a friend of ours had a stereo box in the back of the buggy hooked to a car battery and they were listening to music but they hadn't joined the church. There's a few that will use power tools but overall most around here still live according to the church.

@hotchicksandpuppies Having horses (most Amish familys have 3-4) will probably cost you more per year than a car. It doesn't save money. Horses are the only money pits worse than cars.

@sycop So Not True! They know about it. Nephew showed it to folks in the family via I-phone last month when doing business with them. They know him (the skier and driver, no name here) and thought it was quite funny. Their eyes lit up and both Father and Mother had a great laugh. Kids tried to look but don't think they saw it.

@bstimp Funny thing is that they're Old Order where I live, too. Apparently a lot of the decisions are made by local leaders as to what is and isn't OK. They seem pretty liberal around here.
