This guy bought a Kukri Machete from me on Ebay, left me positive feedback, and the next day wants to return the knife; claiming that it is not as described. I offered him a partial refund so that he could keep it, which he refused.

I got the knife back today and first of all the knife is scratched and has dings in the blade AND... well you'll see...

He wants his money back and he will not get it. I took still pics and this video. I called ebay and they told me to not send a refund and instead let the guy file a dispute. At this time I will be able to submit my documentation.

The reason for posting this is to create a timeline. The tracking number shows I got it today and I promptly took the pictures and video and posted it today.

UPDATE June 5- Ebay decided in my favor and I get to keep the knife and the money. I wasn't trying to keep both, but, he tried to rip me off. So... Case Closed

ANOTHER UPDATE June 6- He paid for it so I decided to send it to him. You know... cause I'm a good guy

STILL ANOTHER UPDATE- Before I was able to send the knife, the buyer informed me that eBay refunded him his money and not to send the knife. WHAT? So, I did some research and the money didn't come out of my account.

So, I got to keep the money and the knife after-all. That's good, BUT, it bugs me that eBay supports and encourages this type of behavior.

  • I almost have had it with eBay. They try and hide the fees we have to pay as sellers, so really I feel that the buyers are not the ones getting over on us, the real computerate is eBay itself. I was going to buy an item for $400 cia eBay today as a private listing, but the seller is giving me a really good deal so he wanted to avoid what fees he could. Using an eBay calculator I figured the fees would be $50, on $400. That is a true killing considering how many people actually use eBay.

  • @langox510x Yeah, they make more money than I do. That's for sure. Then the competition is so tough that the margin is small. So, it's a good thing I love doing it. I've stopped calling it a business and just call it a hobby now. (A hobby that I pay taxes on). But it allows me to expand my collection.

  • Glad to hear you got to keep the knife and money. I hate eBay and their policies. Hopefully one day there will be a better way.

  • @langox510x Thanks, I was very surprised too. Their policies always are inclined towards the buyers. I decided though, because I'm a decent guy, to send the knife to him since he paid for it. I even polished it and sharpened it too, just because.

  • 2:40 you can hear a monkey ... who has a monkey in there house seriusy who owns a monkey lolz

  • @Highwaystar909 But these crooks have a monopoly. I don't know if you use eBay fee calculators, but you should really consider finding out how much money they have extorted out of your income. 12.5% is a huge chunk of money, and it adds up fast.
