  • Alanis knock-off, I assume you mean an Alanis "imitation"? If I remember correctly, PJ made her recording debut in 1992, Alanis didn't come on the scene until 1995. In 1992, I believe Alanis was still in Canada doing her best knock-off of Debbie Gibson.

  • I like how you disregarded the second half of my comment.

  • @Teenager2thecore

Hey, I love PJ harvey, she is my favorite female musician

but any connection between her and feminism is a coincidence

  • I LOVE POLLYJEAN

  • @RiPcOrDz83 I agree. This album was like a musical water painting. and Rid of Me was a big feminist political cartoon.

  • PJ reminds me of this Spanish teacher i had once. Did all those awkward motions, Pale and gawky, jet black hair. Even though PJ was a thousand times cooler. At least didn't make us say Como Estas a thousand times.

  • Give the drummer some lol

  • Give the drummer some

  • @RiPcOrDz83 YESSSSSSSSSS my fav era i fucking misss this era i wished i was born earlier to see her as this!!! however i feel she did return slightly with 2009 a man a woman/ i mean barking and all sorts wonderful <3 ps i hate how she sings this on her tour now let england shake......she doesn't sing the words with any liveliness like she does here!

  • This Is The Best Album PJ Ever Made In My Opinion! Someone Agree?

  • @greengargantua As always, I think it's more of a taste thing. Who came 1st is irrelevant. I don't see how the other person can compare her to Alanis of all people, aside from the fact that they both happen to be female. But that's where the similarity ends...They're COMPLETELY different artists. But comparing artists with other artists is kind of pointless anyway. Personally, PJ is my favorite, but examining "why" is subjective.

  • @Toffelielain Personally, I think the "artist" of the group needs to be the focus.....the sidemen need to stay out of the way & let the artist carry the show. That's why it's PJ Harvey as opposed to a "band". If he looked any less "dull" it would probably be a distraction. lol
