  • She was wonderful with Merle Oberon in These Three, a watered down version of Lillian Helman's The Children's Hour, but the movie stands on its own buoyed by the performances of all the main actors including Joel McCrea, Marcia Mae Jones, Margaret Hamilton and the original bad seed, Bonita Granville as Mary Tilford. Worth Seeing!!!

  • Miriam Hopkins is being honored at the TCM Festival April 22 through April 25 in Hollywood. A newly struck print of her controversial film The Story of Temple Drake is one of the featured films selected! Glad to see this long neglected film has been restored and one of the films selected by TCM for their Festival. A definite honor for Miriam Hopkins!

  • Miriam Hopkins was absolutely beautiful. She was probably the most versatile actress ever in Hollywood. She scenes in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde along with her later performances with Bette Davis and Olivia de Havilland in "The Heiress" are amazing in their diversity of role and character. Just an amazing actress, through the television years, especially her one woman show in "The Outer Limits", episode of "Don't Open til Doomsday!" She did the make-up in that one herself. Inviolate is the word

  • No matter how crazy she was in life, she was a DAMN good actress and so adorable on screen! Great vid :)

  • She was. I'm not sure she was aware of the rivalry. There were so amny lovely women in films back then.

  • Maybe because your mom was a Bette Davis fan. I understood that she and Ms. Hopkins did not get along.

  • Very Lovely. Never understood why my mom hated her so much. She had the ability to convery swwetness to sultry glamour.
