  • I've got rheumatoid arthritis and have found that neat lavendar oil is a great topical treatment when my finger joints are swollen and actually works better than prescription pain killer. It's also great for burns. I get through lavendar oil at the rate of 100ml bottles I almost live on the stuff.

  • Thanks so much for the tips, especiallly the bath formula.

  • Neat is a term used in aromatherapy. In this case it means the essential oil can be used directly on the skin without being diluted or mixed with a carrying oil.

  • What does "we prefer to use it neat" mean? I am just starting to use oils. I like the mist bottle idea and would like to try this.

  • I gingerly put lavender oil on my feet at night and it helps me sleep.
