@tnbrd5 Nope, in fact, they now believe that they are goldfish and hang with them.

@lynkim1 Best friend fishies Woohoo!

@smarty12421 Our bala sharks never ended up eating anythings but the food we gave them. But the orange one accidently ate a guppy that got stuck in it's mouth.
-
what are you feeing him?

@goofy96414 It is better to buy a big tank like a 20 because you don't have to waste so much money on buying another tank.

Can I put a bala shark in a ten gallon tank and then when it grows buy a new tank.

@tnbrd5 they shouldnt if you feed them fish flakes but they might go after eachother, bala sharks do better by themselves.

@smarty12421This combo has worked beautifully for many years now. Yes, they can get huge, that's why I have a huge tank. Yes, they are schooling fish which is why I have 4 (although one suffered an identity crisis when very young when his original mates died during shipping, he now thinks he is a goldfish and prefers to hang with them). Yes they do tend to eat the smaller guppies but I prefer to call it guppy contraception. Yes my filters are very good and yes, my fish are very happy.

@jakalkid Gold fish prefer tropical conditions (as they do in nature.) They grow best in tropical conditions at around 27°C but adapt easily to cold water. Most people prefer to keep them in cold water because its EASIER as they don't produce as much waste. While in cold water they slow down eat lessand grow less. A good biological filter manages the ammonia produced and they thrive. they make good tank mates with bala sharks all my fish are happy and healthy.
