Pentax k-x vs Panosonic lumix FZ35 / FZ38 - Photo comparison
These two cameras are often compared by people wishing to expand their photography past the normal point and shoot camera. The pentax k-x is an entry level dslr where as the fz35 is a high end, ultrazoom point and shoot camera. The fz35 is in the top of point and shoot class and has incredible optics as well as photo quality, with a sensor larger than most point and shoots. It hosts a 18x zoom lens, which is just the right amount, anymore and you start to get problems with optics. The k-x is an entry level dslr and hosts everything you could want in your first dslr, its learning curve is much higher but handles very well. It is arguably the best entry level dslr on the market, now selling for at almost the same price as the fz35. I cant recommend both more.
This is a comparison of how each camera has handled in various situations over my year or so of having them.
